Our Story

The idea of Ceramic Coven came to be when Aya and Caroline decided that they wanted to try their hand at selling their wares together in outdoor markets and online. Living in CA, we quickly found it wasn’t as simple as our fantasies. Thinking on a broader scale, we realized that just as we find out how difficult a start-up was, it would be discouraging to many other artists/craftspeople to try to follow their dreams. So, along with manifesting their own aspirations, we wanted to make the process of trying to achieve being a selling artist an easier beginning.
Caroline and Aya both have such a love for the spooky, witchy, Autumnal season and wanted to create a collective space where like-minded artists could gather to share, inspire, uplift, and help each other succeed; like a Coven.
Ceramic Coven was born out of our love for the mud craft and our desire to help.

Mystic. Bespoke. Curious.

Caroline has always been drawn to uniquely beautiful art. When she started working with clay, she was immediately drawn to dark bodies, raw forms, and simple textures. Her curiosity with modern shapes with organic touches has gone through many iterations. Her mind is a curio cabinet, her works are her thoughts.
