I feel like I need to explain myself. Clay shrinks a lot as it goes from being a soft lump to a glazed vessel ready for use. If you want a pretty big piece, you have to make it larger than you think to accommodate the shrink rate of the clay. I wanted a pretty big mug for soup or ice cream, or maybe a smoothie bowl. I needed something with depth. But this is absurd. It’s nearly unwieldy. It’s almost a burden. But more than anything, it’s magic and holds SO MUCH. You are not limited to soup, you could have CHILI, STEW, a layered parfait, pot pie, or a massive pile of mashed potatoes. Whatever your heart desires, it will absolutely fit in this mug.
